Window display inspiration

One thing I really loved when we were in New York for Christmas (feels like forever ago) was the window displays. These images are from the Anthropologie store in New York and I think the display is pretty amazing and very inspiring. Images found via Poppytalk.

Nighttime necessity

One of my favourite times of the day is when I get home, shower and get into comfy pyjamas. I immediately feel so at home and relaxed. Peter Alexander make really cute fashionable PJ sets and I'm thinking with the temperature rising a few of these are a nighttime necessity.

Alphabet pillows

How cool are these?! Alphabet pillows made from recycled suit-jackets by Canadian artist Hilary Cosgrove. Found via Freshly Blended.

Little pieces of happiness

So I've had one of those days - moving offices, found out the travel agent didn't book our honeymoon correctly, funeral for my Nana and a shoot that was supposed to happen in the morning was cancelled. What do I crave in times like these? Chocolate. Somehow those little pieces of rich chocolate goodness seem to calm me down.

Image of a chocolate selection in a Swiss supermarket, from Danielzolli's photostream via flickr. I'll take one of each please!

One week till Christmas!

Christmas is only a week away which is very exciting. More and more lights are being put up around the neighborhood and the shops are getting busier with last minute shoppers.

These cute decorations were found on the Cox & Cox online store, via A Cup of Joe. I love the idea of an outdoor Christmas tree and the candle light bags are very sweet. I was lucky enough to find the noel decoration in a store on the street I work which I have sent to my Uncle in Germany. His tree is probably overflowing with the amount of decorations our family has sent him over the years!

All things wedding

We're in the 3 month countdown till our wedding now. I really can't wait for the day and to see how it all looks. I'd love to do so much more and can totally understand now how weddings cost so much money. I've put together a few images that have inspired me through the whole planning and preparation process.

Christmas is coming!

I love Christmas, good food and plenty of it, family, Christmas lights and time away from work! What more could you ask for? Flickr photo by Kristine May.

Danish inspiration

Love the texture and warmth in this home designed by Henrik Busk and his wife Stine. Every room seems to have a different finish to it's floors which is quite interesting. I really like the linen on the bed, clean and simple. The complete tour can be taken here. Found via Poppytalk.

Merchant no. 4

Very nice modern objects by NY store Merchant no. 4. I love their wooden cards (top). Found via Lushee.

A Donna Hay Christmas

Anybody who knows me knows I'm obsessed with Donna Hay. I want to be Donna Hay! The guy in the newsagent has had to unpack a copy of the magazine for me the last few times as I have asked for it before they even put them on the shelves. A little too obsessed? Perhaps.

I absolutely love the styling of the magazine and the celebration edition is one of my favourites. It's perfect if you're watching your pennies and would like to bake something for that special someone. Not to mention the value of creating something nice.

While on photography...

Catherine Conroy is a photographer I've been lucky to work with a couple times in my career. She has an amazing eye for fashion and colour which I have always really admired.
