Wedding details

I've started collecting things for my wedding next year to add little personal touches to the look and feel of the event. The theme is slightly rustic with french inspired elements and a blue and white/off white colour palette.

Unique stationary

Melbourne based company Notemaker sell a large range of beautiful stationary, gift and home wares. They stock everything from fine paper to rubber stamps, stickers and photo albums, all sourced from Paris, Rome, Seoul, London and Australia.

Neil Krug

I love looking at my parents photos from the 70's with their washed out colours and dreamlike feel. Neil Krug's vintage style of photography reminds me of these. It's nice to see a photographer still using polaroid.

Yellow Owl Workshop

I stumbled across this site a while back and think it's worth a mention. Yellow Owl Workshop based in San Francisco create limited edition paper goods, wedding correspondence and items for the home. I love the way they have packaged their stamp kits, very cute.

Kalle Gustafsson

As I mentioned in an earlier post I really like desaturated photographs. Kalle Gustafsson is a photographer whose work I admire. I love that her images are quite surreal and almost posterised in appearance.

Kareena Zerefos

Sydney born illustrator Kareena Zerefos has a really unique and innocent style to her drawings. Her illustrations have been showcased in many publications and she has quite a following. Kareena's website showcases her portfolio of work, and prints are available to buy from her corner store.

Tim Navis

I love the look of these images by Tim Navis. I must say I'm a big fan of desaturated images, and I try to achieve the same effect in my own. They look so old school and there is a rawness to them which I love.

A love of linen

A good friend of mine found this cute little site. Based in Japan Linnet produce a beautiful collection of linen fabrics and ribbons among other things. The colours in their materials are so alluring. I'm planning on using some of their ribbon to line the base of my wedding cake next year to give it a slight rustic feel.

House of Aroha

Recently I visited Napier in New Zealand for work and purchased a black & white screenprint from a store called House of Aroha. It's such a funky store and has so many cool things for the house as well as clothes and screenprinted t-shirts. They have an online store which is handy as it's not every day I get to go to Napier.

Love Bec Parsons

Bec Parsons has a beautiful photographic style and I particularly love these images. There is a softness and mystery to them which I'm drawn to, as well as the colours.

Lomo at last

I was lucky enough this birthday to receive my very first Lomo camera. I'm very excited about it but unfortunately haven't had a chance to use it yet. It amazed me how basic they are. Their simple plastic construction wasn't quite what I was expecting. Working with digital for a while now I'm a little scared to use it, but excited at the same time.
